Fathead Minnows are a fast producing forage fish that is essential for every pond and lake. Female will lay eggs once the water temperature is in the mid 60's and will reproduce every 18-21 days. We sell fathead minnows by the pound (medium sized 300-400) and recommend 5 pounds per acre stocking. When used as supplemental forage for bass and crappie spring/fall we recommend 10+ pounds per acre to promote fish growth
